The European Trainers Federation (ETF), has officially joined the European Horse Network (EHN). At the ETF AGM held on Saturday 22nd November, Criquette Head Maarek welcomed Florence Gras of the EHN who gave the ETF a presentation about the role the EHN plays across Europe.
Founded in 2009, the EHN brings together twenty major horse sectors from across Europe. The EHN keeps horse issues at the forefront at the European Parliament and one of its major roles is the lobbying of parliament members.
Meeting on a regular basis throughout the year, mainly in Brussels, the EHN regularly welcomes members of the European Parliament to its meetings so that members can gain a better understanding of different issues affecting the horse.
Key areas of understanding have been developed in - health / sport / welfare / education and research.
The ETF welcomes its membership of the EHN and looks forward to advising and helping on issues related to thoroughbred racing across Europe.
